HEY EVERYONE!

This time, we’ve got an amazing update for myTeamSpeak! The new myTS Update is one of our most important account-focused updates yet, introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to keep your account more secure than ever. Alongside this, we’ve added new options under the myTeamSpeak Account Settings that make it easier to manage your data and account.

Head over to myTS here: myTeamSpeak | My Account

TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2FA)

You can now secure your myTeamSpeak account with Two-Factor Authentication. Once enabled, you’ll add an extra layer of protection to your account, ensuring that only you can access it if your password falls into the wrong hands. Your tokens are generated using a standard authenticator app, keeping setup simple and secure.
Please note that 2FA is not supported on TeamSpeak 3 or the TeamSpeak Mobile App, so if you regularly use those, we recommend not enabling 2FA for now.

MANAGE YOUR DATA (GDPR)

We’ve made it easier to get access to your personal information. With this update, you can download your user data directly from myTeamSpeak. This ensures you always have full visibility over the information linked to your TeamSpeak account.

OAUTH SUPPORT FOR MYTEAMSPEAK

We’re introducing OAuth for myTeamSpeak, replacing the previous single sign-on system with a more modern and transparent authentication flow. When logging into services like the Community Forum, you’ll now be redirected to myTeamSpeak, where you’ll receive an overview of what you’re signing in to, whether it’s an Official TeamSpeak Service, and details about login location and device Information. You’ll also see exactly what data the service is requesting and can choose to approve or deny access before continuing. This provides a clearer and safer sign-in experience across all TeamSpeak Services.

MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT

If you ever decide to leave for good

When you choose to delete your account, it will be marked for deletion and permanently removed after a 30-day grace period. If you change your mind during that time, you can simply cancel the deletion and keep your account. This gives you full control while still leaving room for second thoughts… (maybe you’ll change your mind and stay)![]()

WHAT’S NEXT?

The next Client Update is currently being finalized and prepared for beta release. It will be called the “Foundation I” Update and will deliver major performance improvements with significantly reduced memory usage, introduce true P2P streaming with single-encoding, add drag-and-drop support for activities in the sidebar, and much more that we’ll cover in the release announcement.
The upcoming update will also bring fully functional streaming on Wayland Linux, with support for Hyprland and GNOME Portals. Other environments may work as well, but these are the ones we’ve tested so far.
See you soon!
